These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of genethermal.com and your participation in the gene early-access waitlist operated by Gene Thermal ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this site or submitting your email address, you agree to these Terms.

About this site

genethermal.com is a pre-launch website for Gene, a wireless home comfort sensor product in development. The site is intended to share information about the product and allow interested visitors to join an early-access waitlist. Product features, pricing, and availability described on this site are subject to change before launch.

Waitlist sign-up

When you submit your email address through our waitlist form, you agree to receive communications from Gene, which includes launch updates and early-access information. Joining the waitlist does not create a purchase obligation, reserve inventory, or guarantee a specific price or ship date.

Waitlist records are stored in our Shopify customer system with the tag waitlist-2027. Your email may also be temporarily stored in your browser's localStorage as a backup during submission. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this site and join the waitlist. By signing up, you represent that the email address you provide is yours and that the information you submit is accurate.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse this site. This includes attempting to disrupt the site, submitting false or fraudulent sign-ups, using automated tools to scrape or overload our services, or interfering with other visitors' use of the site.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, and design — is owned by Gene LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from site content without our prior written permission.

Disclaimers

This site and its content are provided "as is" for informational purposes during our pre-launch phase. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of product descriptions, launch timelines, or the uninterrupted availability of the site. Early-access messaging, including projected ship dates, reflects our current plans and may change.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gene will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or participation in the waitlist. Our total liability for any claim related to the site shall not exceed the amount you paid us — which, for waitlist sign-ups, is zero.

Termination

We may remove you from the waitlist or restrict access to the site if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may withdraw from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@genethermal.com.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as our product and business evolve. When we make material changes, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Gene LLC is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
